Does anyone know if the BT Sport channel through Sky will work if not a BT Sport subscriber? If not then it'll be via their stream or the pub

Ironically I was about to ask the same questions. Was due to watch at the pub tonight but feel like absolute shit so staying in to watch. I have heard BT Sports is free tonight but wasn't sure if it was via YouTube only.
I have SKY and SKY Sports and BT shows in the sports channels but as I do not subscribe to that it is always blank and asking me to subscribe. Presumably it will just come on when the programme starts? If not it'll be BT on YouTube via the laptop or Xbox to TV for me.

I wouldn’t rely on the YouTube stream. From experience the stream buffers.

BT YouTube stream worked well for the Europa League final, I’m sure if it’s going to have issues that it’ll be for our match!!

As far as I know its only online or on virgin, if you have an xbox or PlayStation it will be free through the BT sports app

I have just looked and there are so many varying views on how to watch. I tried to download BT app on Xbox which it did but its asking me to sign in - I do not have a BT account and you cannot create one without a BT account number.
Does this just mean anyone wanting to watch can do so by just searching youtube for BT sports and watching without any account or do you somehow have to have some form of BT ID?
I'd like to get sorted before KO obviously as I don't want to be fucking around at 7.30pm and having no chance of watching.
Presumably the SKY Q box (BT channel) won't just free to air, oh no, too simple I guess!

Just put it on record on my sky box and it's recording, so they must switch the channel on when the programme starts

Personally, I wouldn’t rely on the Sky channel, it may just record a blank screen with the upgrade message.
